NEXT FRIDAY SESSION = 15th June 2018

Rye Harbour, 10 am - 3 pm

Rye Harbour is famous for its tern and gulls colonies.  It is a nosiy and busy place at this time of year with common, Sandwich and little tern nesting on the islands and shingle beach. The bird hides provide close views of the adults feeding their chicks.  Mediterranean gulls also breed at Rye Harbour, along with wheatear, avocet and little ringed plover.  We can also expect to see migratory wading birds such as bar-tailed godwit, whimbrel, greenshank and turnstone.

Cost £12 / person
