Pegwell Bay and Ramsgate Harbour,

10 am to 3 pm

Sandwich & Pegwell Bat National Nature Reserve supports thousands of waders and wildfowl in winter and at the right state of the tide this can make for spectacular viewing.  Birds of prey such as merlin, peregrine, hen harrier and short-eared owl are also frequently present at this time of year.  Nearby Ramsgate Harbour has become famous for its kingfishers.  Black redstart and fulmars are typically present on the cliffs.  Last winter a number of unusal species were viewable at close range from the harbour walls including:  snow bunting, black-throated diver, shag, Iceland and glaucous gull.

Cost £12/ person
